Eisenhower Park Events, Activities & Concessions
We are an organization that manages and runs the events, activities, and concessions within Eisenhower Park. This is a first of its kind partnership with the local government and parks department that will pave the way for further development of the park and increased value to the community.
Our goal is to reconnect families with their local community via outdoor recreational events in the park.
Brief History Of Eisenhower Park
1944
During the Great Depression, the owners of Salisbury Country Club were unable to pay their taxes and the county took over the property. Subsequently, the county acquired additional land with the intention to create a park that “one day will be to Nassau County what Central Park is today to New York City”.
1949
Salisbury Park was officially dedicated by County Executive J. Russell Sprague in October 1949.
1969
Salisbury Park was rededicated as Dwight D. Eisenhower Memorial Park on October 13, 1969.
2020
An organization was established to manage and run the events and concessions in the park with the goal to connect people with the amenities the park has to offer and provide as much value to the community as possible.
“A park that one day will be to Nassau County what Central Park is today to New York City”.
Our Mission
Invest in further developing the park’s amenities and use digital marketing to bring as much awareness as possible to the events and activities that take place within Eisenhower Park.
We want to help people disconnect from their homes and offices and reconnect them with nature by providing recreation and relaxation in the park.
